home is where the money is

well it would be a lie to say that I am not happy to be at home - although now quite as exciting or "free" as the travelling life it isn't a bad thing to see my bank balance move upward. then there's the much needed re-organisation of my computer for this years studious activites; a task with which I can happily kill hour upon hour of time. technically, however, I am no longer a nomad so therefore this post is rather redundant. it is proper that i write retrospectively of my last month in perth (a time that evoces a mixture of melancholy, bemusement and outright fear). it is well known now that I made it accross the pacific on a standby united flight from hell after a last minute flight and dash from new york. not only did the electronics in my row fail to work, but a loud-mouthed adelaideian woman infront of me proceeded, as a consequence and as part of some apparent recompense, to get extremely drunk and incomprehensibly more loud-mouthed. i can legitimately identif...
